SRH vs MI: Many records in the history of Tata IPL were broken in the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians on 27 March 2024.

The 8th match of Tata IPL 2024 took place on 27 March between SRH vs MI at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. In this match, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has won the toss and decided to bowl first. And gave Sunrisers Hyderabad a chance to bat first.

Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya invited Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat first. Batting first, SRH scored the most runs in the history of Tata IPL. Today the record of scoring most runs in Tata IPL was broken. SRH NE set a huge target of 278 runs for Mumbai Indians by scoring 277 runs.
SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen batted brilliantly and remained not out, scoring 80 runs at a strike rate of 235.29 with the help of 7 sixes and 4 fours in just 34 balls. So the same Abhishek Sharma also scored 63 runs in just 23 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 3 fours at a strike rate of 273.91. While Travis Head also scored 62 runs in 24 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 9 fours at a strike rate of 258.33, Aiden Markram also played a good inning of 42 runs in 28 balls.

With the good performance of all of them, SRH made history by scoring the highest number of runs on the score board in the history of Tata IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad hit a total of 18 sixes and 19 fours. The total score was 277/3 and MI scored a huge total of 278 runs. SRH bowlers Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat got 2 wickets each. So the same Shabaz Ahmed got 1 wicket. SRH won the match by 31 runs.

Chasing a huge target of 278 runs, MI managed to reach 246 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. For the first time in history, while chasing runs, the other team was able to reach 246 runs, this is a new record in history. MI’s Tilak Varma scored the highest score of 64 runs in 34 balls with the help of 6 sixes and 2 fours. So Tim David scored 42 runs in 22 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 2 fours. And Isan Kishan hit 4 sixes in 13 balls and scored 34 runs with the help of 2 fours. MI was able to reach 245 runs while chasing 278 runs through these players. MI lost this match by 31 runs. MI bowlers Piyush Chawla, Hardik Pandya and Gerald Coetzee got 1 wicket each.
